Monochrome is where I find clarity. Without color to guide the eye, the image must stand on light, shadow, form, and structure alone. Every line carries weight. Every contrast choice matters. What remains is not stripped down but distilled, reduced to its essential truth. In that restraint, I see more clearly, and the frame becomes less about appearance and more about presence.
Color is the language most of us know by instinct. It carries memory, mood, and familiarity, shaping how a moment feels before we even think about it. I approach it with intention and discipline, allowing it to support the structure and light rather than overpower them. When color strengthens connection and helps an image feel lived in and real, it earns its place within the frame.
